Foster Program

Occasionally, the St. Paul Animal Shelter has an animal at the shelter that either due to their age, medical or behaviour issue, may require time in a foster home before they can be placed for adoption.


If you believe you could be a great foster home, we want to hear from you. Click the link to request an application

Dog Foster Program

As a dog foster parent, you may be asked to care for orphaned puppies, either individually or a litter; a mom with puppies; or dog's with medial or behaviour issues.

Cat Foster Program

Cat foster parents will most often be responsible for providing care to ophan kitten(s) or a mom with kittens. You may also be asked to foster a cat that requires extra socialization.
